An acquired taste...Vegemite.

Just like beer, I think, Vegemite is an acquired taste. Last month, Cadbury introduced this...yes! chocolate with Vegemite. I'm not a fan of Vegemite and milk chocolate but it's worth trying. I would say it's not for me as I find it very sweet. It might have made a difference if they used dark chocolate. The bitterness of the chocolate will help balance out the sweetness of the caramel and the saltiness from the Vegemite would have made it a real winner. Oh well, taste is subjective, See for yourselves!

Loving Kiss...Part2 #MagnumMini

Three down, two to go and I have tried all the five flavours. Last week, it went on special...yup, 50% off, hooray! The creme brulee was creamy and I love the shards of caramel folded in. Sadly, I didn't feel the sponge pieces in  the Tiramisu as indicated in the box. They've captured the mascarpone flavour perfectly and it had chocolate bits. Maybe, next time I should have more than one piece.  My husband, who's a savoury person loved the Tiramisu though. Looking forward for the remaining variants.

Loving Kiss...New Magnum Flavour

At last, we got hold one of Magnum 5 Kisses Limited , Meringue Et Fruits Rouges. I love the union of meringue bits and the tartness of raspberries plus the dark chocolate coating.  Can't help but fall in love with it. Will try the four other flavours soon.

Lindt Caramel Brownie

I came across this bar while doing my last minute shopping for dinner last night at Woolworth's. It has nice caramel taste although I wish it was dark chocolate. It wasn't that bad though. Lindt will always be one of the smoothest chocolates on earth.

STARBAR by Cadbury

I saw this chocolate bar this afternoon while buying some ingredients for my butter cream icing. It's by Cadbury. The taste reminded me of Hershey's 5th Avenue, which I love. It's a cross between 5th Avenue and Snickers. Slightly chewy due to the caramel. I prefer it compared to other Cadbury bars available in the market. Try it!

Quick Chow

I always have "emergency food " in the cupboard. My antidote to laziness. Left over dinner, automatically, becomes my lunch to work the next day. If there isn't any, either I buy or I refer to my emergency food buddies.

I discovered this few weeks ago while doing my regular grocery shopping. I tried it and it really tasted like puttanesca. There were generous amount of capers and olives. The rice was al dente, which I liked. Looking forward to different variants soon. Mexican would be nice. What do you think?

New Packaging!

New packaging for Tim Tam and Cherry Ripe! Orange and chocolate are one of the best pairs for sweets. Cherry Ripe is an interesting combination of dessicated coconut flavoured with cherry dipped in dark chocolate.
